$2000 Walmart Gift Cards | Bulk Buying & Business Use
How To Use $2000 Walmart Gift Cards?
1. In-Store Purchases
This is the simplest way to use a large balance.
At Walmart Stores (US & Puerto Rico): Use the physical card or the digital card (via the Walmart app) at any checkout register or self-checkout.
At Sam’s Club Stores (US & Puerto Rico): The card is also accepted at all Sam’s Club locations.
Payment Method: Simply swipe or scan the card. If the purchase is less than $2,000, the remaining balance stays on the card. If the purchase is more, you can easily pay the remaining balance with another payment method.
2. Online Purchases (Walmart.com & SamsClub.com)
Using the balance online is straightforward, but there are limits on how many cards you can use at once.
Checkout: Proceed to the payment step during checkout on Walmart.com or SamsClub.com.
Select Gift Card: Choose the “Gift card” option under Payment Method.
Enter Details: Enter the 16-digit card number and the PIN (the 4-digit security code found under the scratch-off on the back of the physical card, or in the email for an eGift card).
Apply: Click “Apply” to deduct the balance from your order total.
Important Online Limit: You can generally only use up to five (5) Walmart Gift Cards per single transaction online.
3. Consolidating Multiple Cards (If Applicable)
If your $2,000 is spread across several cards (e.g., eight $250 cards), you can only use five online at a time, which can be inconvenient.
In-Store Consolidation: You may be able to purchase one new Walmart Gift Card for the total amount ($2,000) and pay for it using your multiple existing cards at the customer service desk or a register. This simplifies future use.
Online Consolidation (Check Terms): While Walmart’s general policy states you cannot directly combine balances, you might be able to purchase a new eGift Card for the total value on your existing cards, thereby consolidating the funds onto a single code.
Where You Cannot Use the Card:
While the card is highly versatile, it cannot be used for all purchases:
Other Gift Cards: You cannot use your Walmart Gift Card to purchase other Walmart, Sam’s Club, or third-party gift cards (like Apple, Visa, or Starbucks).
Financial Services: Money transfers, money orders, bill payments, and other services offered through the Walmart Money Center.
Alcohol & Tobacco: Some restricted items may be excluded depending on state and local laws.
Membership Fees: Cannot typically be used to purchase or renew a Walmart+ or Sam’s Club membership fee.
