How To Use Walmart Bulk Gift Cards?
1. If You Are the Organizer (How to Buy/Activate)
Walmart’s bulk program is designed for businesses, non-profits, or individuals making large orders (typically over 25 cards or $5,000+).
Create an Account: You must apply at Walmart’s Bulk Gift Card Portal.
Order Limits: You can load amounts from $5 to $500 per card.
Activation: * Orders under $10,000: Usually arrive pre-activated and ready to distribute.
Orders over $10,000: For security, you must log into your bulk account and click “Activate” in your order history before they will work.
Customization: You can choose “Select” cards that restrict purchases to specific categories (e.g., “Grocery Only”)—great for charitable giving.
2. If You Are the Recipient (How to Spend)
Bulk gift cards function exactly like standard Walmart gift cards once they are in your hands.
In-Store: 1. Scan your items at checkout. 2. Select “Gift Card” on the payment screen. 3. Swipe your physical card or scan the barcode from your phone (if it’s an eGift card). 4. Enter the PIN if prompted (found under the scratch-off silver panel).
Online/App:
Log into your Walmart account.
Go to Account > Wallet > Add New Payment Method > Gift Card.
Enter the card number and PIN. This saves it for future use so you don’t have to re-enter it.
At checkout, select the gift card as your payment method.

3. Pro-Tips for Bulk Cards
Sam’s Club Access: Walmart bulk cards are also redeemable at Sam’s Club (in-store and online).
Stacking: You can use up to five gift cards per transaction at Walmart.com or in the app.
Balance Protection: If you have a physical bulk card, take a photo of the back. If you lose it, Walmart can sometimes replace the funds if you have the original card number and proof of purchase.
Fuel: Most Walmart bulk gift cards can be used at Walmart and Murphy USA gas stations.
Common Troubleshooting
“Card is declining”: If your card is from a bulk order, it might not be activated yet. If it’s a high-value card ($250+), the organizer may need to manually activate it via the corporate portal.
