How To Use $50 Southwest Gift Cards?
Here is the step-by-step guide:
1. Locate the Card Information
You will need two pieces of information from your $50 gift card:
16-Digit Card Number: This is the main number on the card.
4-Digit Security Code (PIN): This is usually found under a scratch-off area on the back of a physical card, or provided in the email/PDF for an eGift card.
2. Book Your Flight on Southwest.com
The redemption is done on the payment screen after you select your flight.
Go to Southwest.com or open the Southwest Airlines mobile app.
Search and Select Your Flight: Find the flight(s) you want to book and proceed to the payment page.
Find the Payment Section: Scroll down on the “Passenger & Payment Info” page until you reach the “Payment Method” area.
Open the Gift Card Option: Look for a drop-down or link that says something similar to “Apply Travel Funds,” “Southwest Gift Card,” or “Flight Credits/LUV Vouchers/Gift Cards.” Click this option.
Enter the Details: Select “Southwest Gift Card” from the options.
Enter the 16-Digit Card Number.
Enter the 4-Digit Security Code (PIN).
Apply: Click the “Apply” button. The $50 balance will be instantly deducted from your total flight cost.

3. Completing the Purchase
If the Flight Cost is Less than $50: The remaining balance will stay on the gift card for you to use on a future flight. Southwest Gift Cards do not expire.
If the Flight Cost is More than $50: You will pay the remaining amount using a credit card, PayPal, or another accepted form of payment.
Important Things to Note:
Maximum Cards: You can use a maximum of three (3) Southwest Gift Cards per passenger on a single reservation booked online. Since your card is only $50, this limit is usually sufficient.
What it Covers: The gift card can be used to pay for the flight fare, associated taxes, and government-imposed fees.
What it Doesn’t Cover: The gift card cannot be used for things like EarlyBird Check-In, Upgraded Boarding at the airport, in-flight purchases, or Southwest Vacations packages.
