How To Use $100 Sams Club Gift Cards?
1. The Membership Advantage (or lack thereof)
A key benefit of a Sam’s Club Gift Card is that it allows non-members to shop at the club without paying the non-member surcharge (typically 10%).
If you are a Member: Use it just like any other payment method (debit/credit card).
If you are NOT a Member: You can still use the Gift Card to make purchases in the club or online.2 You won’t be charged the 10% fee that non-members usually incur on purchases.
Note on Membership Fees: While you can use the gift card for most purchases, you generally cannot use a standard Sam’s Club Gift Card to pay for a new or renewal membership fee. For that, you would typically need a specialized “Gift of Membership” card.
2. Where to Use Your Card
Your $100 Sam’s Club Gift Card can be used at four primary locations:

3. Payment Methods
A. In-Club Checkout
Scan Your Items: Shop as usual.
Present Card: Hand the physical card to the cashier or show the barcode/number if it’s an eGift card.
Split Payment: If your purchase is more than $100, the remaining balance can be paid with cash, debit, or credit card. If your purchase is less than $100, the remaining balance stays on the card for a future purchase.
B. Scan & Go App
If you are a member and use the Sam’s Club Scan & Go app:
Add the Gift Card number and PIN to your saved payment methods in the app.3
Select the Gift Card as your payment method when checking out within the app.4
C. Online (SamsClub.com & Walmart.com)
Proceed to the checkout page with your items.
Select “Gift Card” or “Add Gift Card” as your payment type.5
Enter the 16-digit card number and the PIN (usually found under a scratch-off area on the back).6
The card’s balance will be applied to your order.7
Key Reminders:
Check the Balance: You can check the remaining balance on your gift card online or by calling the number on the back of the card.
No Expiration: The funds on a Sam’s Club Gift Card do not expire.8
No Cash Back: The card cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by law.9
