How To Use $100 Home Depot Gift Cards?
For a physical gift card:
Shop as Normal: Collect the items you want (making sure the total is $100 or less to cover the whole bill, or you’ll need another form of payment).
Present at Checkout: Hand the physical card to the cashier. They will swipe the card to deduct the purchase amount from the balance.
Keep the Card: If there is a remaining balance, the card will be returned to you. The remaining amount stays on the card for future use, and it never expires.
For an eGift Card (digital card):
You can open the eGift Card email on your smartphone and present the barcode to the cashier for scanning. If the barcode doesn’t scan, the cashier can manually enter the card number.
Using the Gift Card Online:
Shop and Checkout: Add items to your cart on HomeDepot.com and proceed to the checkout payment page.
Select Gift Card: Under the Payment section, look for the option to “Apply a Gift Card” or similar language.
Enter Card Details: You will need two pieces of information from your card:
The Gift Card Number (usually the long number on the card).
The PIN (usually a shorter 4-digit number found under a scratch-off area on the back of the physical card, or clearly listed in the eGift Card email).
Apply and Pay: Enter the number and PIN and click “Apply.” The $100 amount will be immediately deducted from your order total.
Remaining Balance:
If your purchase is less than $100, the remaining balance will stay on the card for your next purchase.
If your purchase is more than $100, you will be prompted to provide a second payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.) to cover the difference.
Important Tip: Check Your Balance
It’s always a good idea to know your exact balance, especially if you think you may have used the card before.
You can check your Home Depot gift card balance in these ways:
Online: Visit the Gift Card section on the Home Depot website and enter the card number and PIN. (You may need to create or log into a Home Depot account for this).
In-Store: Ask any cashier to check the balance for you at the register or customer service desk.
